Founded in 2006 and based at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, our Trust is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to advancing the science and outcomes of the Ross Procedure—a specialized cardiac surgery that replaces the aortic valve using the patient's own pulmonary valve.
We are committed to supporting patients, funding innovative clinical research, and collaborating with heart specialists worldwide to refine and promote this life-changing procedure.
Mission and Goals
Our mission is to improve long-term outcomes for patients with aortic valve disease by supporting the adoption and innovation of the Ross Procedure. Our goals include:
- Enhancing global access to the Ross Procedure, particularly for young patients.
- Funding high-quality clinical and academic research in cardiac surgery.
- Maintaining a comprehensive Ross patient registry to improve data transparency.
- Educating the public and professionals about patient-centered alternatives to mechanical valves.

- Patient Registry: We maintain data on over 450 Ross Procedure recipients across Australia.
